These terms apply to everyone who uses mrws.org, the website of Montana Rural Water Systems, Inc. (MRWS), a Montana non-profit association. By using the website, registering for a class, or paying online, you agree to them. They sit alongside our privacy policy and our refund and cancellation policy.
Using the website
You may use the website to learn about MRWS, find and register for training, join or renew a membership, pay invoices, post job openings and items for sale, and contact us. Please do not:
- try to get into parts of the website or accounts that are not yours, or test or attack its security;
- copy the member directory, rosters or other people’s details in bulk, or use them to send unwanted e-mail;
- send anything unlawful, misleading, abusive or containing viruses;
- use the website in a way that slows it down or stops others from using it.
We may block access, cancel a post or close an account that breaks these rules.
Your account
- You sign in with your e-mail address: we send you a link or a code. You can also choose a password. Keep your e-mail account and password safe, and do not share sign-in codes.
- An account belongs to one person. Several people at the same water system or company each have their own account, joined to the organization.
- Organization Admins decide who else has access to their organization: they can add and remove people, approve requests to join, and keep the organization’s details and roster up to date. Admins are responsible for the people they add.
- When you add other people (attendees, roster entries, contacts), you confirm that you are allowed to give us their details for that purpose.
- Please keep your details correct, including operator certification numbers, so that training credit is recorded properly.
Registrations, memberships and payments
- Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay. The total is checked again by our system when you send the form.
- Member prices are for people at MRWS member organizations. We check this when you register. If a member price was given by mistake, we may ask for the difference, and if you were charged the full price but qualify as a member, we refund the difference.
- Card payments are processed by Stripe on a secure payment page. We never see or keep your card number. A 3% convenience fee is added to card payments and shown before you pay. Checks have no fee.
- Checks and invoices: seats or memberships paid by check become final when the check arrives. Invoices are due on the date shown on them.
- Cancellations and refunds follow our refund and cancellation policy.
- A registration is confirmed only when you receive our confirmation e-mail. Classes may be full, moved or cancelled; if MRWS cancels, you get your money back.
Job openings and items for sale
- Posts you send are reviewed by MRWS staff before they appear. We may edit them for length or clarity, decline them, or take them down, at any time.
- You are responsible for what you post. It must be accurate, lawful and relevant to water and wastewater systems. Job openings must follow equal-opportunity and employment law.
- For-sale posts show your contact details (unless you choose to hide your e-mail). MRWS is not part of any sale. Buyers and sellers deal with each other directly, and MRWS makes no promise about the items.
- Photos you send must be yours to share. By sending them, you let MRWS show them on the website with your post.
- Posts are removed after their closing or expiry date.
Our content
The text, photos, documents and logo on this website belong to MRWS or are used with permission. You may print or share them for your own work and training, and point others to them. Please ask us before republishing them elsewhere. Sponsor and member logos belong to their owners.
Information on the website
We work to keep the information on this website correct and current, but it is general information. It is not legal, engineering or regulatory advice. For rules and requirements, check with the Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), the EPA or a qualified professional. Training dates, prices and details can change: your confirmation e-mail and our office have the latest.
Other websites and services
The website links to, and works with, services run by others: Stripe for card payments, GoTo Webinar for online classes, our conference registration app, Sun Coast Learning for online courses, and government and partner websites. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. We are not responsible for their content or availability.
If something goes wrong
We try to keep the website running and safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, MRWS is not liable for losses caused by using, or not being able to use, the website. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The terms in force when you register or pay apply to that registration or payment.
Montana law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana.
