NOW HIRING GENERAL MANAGER/OPERATOR FOR HOMESTEAD ACRES WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT
Job Description:
Manager Duties:
Track customer accounts: Billing- entering meter reads and generating water bills once a month on billing software (Black Mountain Software). Verify correct amounts billed and sending through the mail.
Payables: organize, verify, and print checks using Quick Books.
Reports- prepare and reconcile documents required for the board, state and DEQ
Bank Statement – reconcile. QuickBooks is required.
Payroll- 2 employees at this time. QuickBooks required.
Secretary to the “Board”
Customer Service- telephone and in person- must maintain a good customer service attitude. This is essential to this position.
Supervisor part-time weekend operator position
Operation Duties:
Daily:
•Record run time and flow rate for each well.
•Record PSI for chlorine pump
•Record flow meter gallons
•Record chlorine weight
•Record polyphosphate level
•Take chlorine sample from tap in well house and one location in the distribution area.
•Fill in information for appropriate day on Well Log sheet and Well Log Book.
Monthly:
•Obtain water sample for Total Coliform testing, send to laboratory for testing and ensure results are satisfactory
•Update required DEQ forms and submit as needed
•Take meter readings for district on all active taps
•Perform pump rotations and equipment preventive maintenance tasks as needed
As needed respond to leaks, start/shut off customers water service, coordinate with contractors when system repairs are needed that exceed the district’s capabilities, and complete annual water sampling as require by DEQ permit.
This is a salaried position, we offer vacation benefits, sick time, and some medical reimbursements.
Salary 29000-30200 depending upon experience, this position does require the manager to obtain both a Class 3 Water Operators and Distribution Licenses
