Water/Wastewater Operator

Rae Water and Sewer District is looking to fill an operator job opening. This person will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Water production and distribution infrastructure as well as the Waste Water collection system and treatment plant infrastructure. Duties will include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of pumps and other equipment throughout the district. Additional duties will include monthly meter reading, snow removal in the winter, and lawn mowing in the summer. Being self-motivated and having a good work ethic, as well as mechanically inclined are essential to be successful in this field of work. This career opportunity comes with on-the-job training and a benefits package also competitive pay for the area. The new hire should be able and willing to obtain Montana state’s required certifications in Water and Wastewater within the first year of employment. Job requirements include the ability to work in all kinds of weather, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, have a valid Montana state Drivers license, and pass a background check.
