Public Works Director for Town of Chester
The Town of Chester is accepting applications for a full-time Public Works Director. Qualifications for the position include: High school diploma or equivalent, a valid Montana driver’s license with clean driving record, and a Montana CDL, Endorsement Type 2, Class B (or be able to obtain one). Applicants must possess, or have the ability to obtain within 1 year, a Class 3A Water Distribution Certification; Class 1B Water Treatment Plant Certification; Class 4C Wastewater Certification. Willing to obtain all other licenses as necessary.
Duties for the position include but are not limited to: Semi-skilled, skilled, technical and maintenance work in the operation, maintenance and repair of the Town’s water and wastewater treatment and distribution facilities, perform all necessary work relating to solid waste management, streets, parks, pest, animal control, snow removal and other public works projects and programs. Must be able to work well with others, supervise employees, communicate with the public, Mayor, and Town Council. Salary is DOE and a $.50 increase will be given for each license obtained.
