LAKESIDE COUNTY WATER & SEWER DISTRICT POSITION OPENING: WATER & WASTEWATER OPERATOR – LAKESIDE, MT
Lakeside County Water & Sewer District in Lakeside, MT is accepting applications for a permanent, full-time Operator I (without certifications) or Operator II (with certifications). Position begins February 1, 2026.
Duties include operation and maintenance of the District’s water distribution and wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment facilities. This position requires participation in a rotating, year-round on-call schedule, including weekends and after-hours. This is a career position with opportunities for advancement. The District offers a competitive benefit package including paid vacation, sick leave, holidays and retirement.
Salary Range: $24-$34 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
Special Requirement: • Mechanical aptitude is strongly preferred and highly valued for this position.
Other Requirements: • High school diploma or GED • Current Montana driver’s license • Ability to obtain Water Operator Class 3B and Wastewater Operator Class 1C within two years (employer-paid; one license per year) • Computer literate • Must live within a 20-minute response time of the District or be willing to relocate • References required • Full job requirements available at lcwsd.com
