Barb Coffman

Resource Specialist

Barb has a Master of Education in General Science Degree, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Water Quality and Chemistry and Associate of Science degrees in Agricultural Technology and Water Quality Technology from Montana State University – Northern.  In Montana, Barb has held positions as Director and Training Specialist for the Montana Environmental Training Center, a Water and wastewater systems operator, adjunct science faculty and lab technician, executive staff for MSAWWA and MWEA, Research Engineer and Environmental Trainer for the Montana Water Center, Water Quality / Reclamation Technician for MSCA, and Research Assistant/Hydrotechnician for MBMG over the past 30 years.  All positions related to water and / or wastewater.

Barb has held a class 1AB Water Treatment / Distribution and class 1C Wastewater Treatment license from the State of Montana since 1990.  Since 1997 she has earned certifications as an American Backflow Prevention Association Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester, Specialist, Exam Monitor / Proctor.  She has been an active member of MSAWWA and MWEA since 1991 and is currently serving on the MWEA board of directors.
